NEW FUEL OIL ADDITIVE FOR USE WITH ALL LOW SULFUR MARINE FUELS

MARICHEM MARIGASES HAS INTRODUCED ITS NEW FUEL OIL ADDITIVE FOR USE WITH ALL LOW SULFUR MARINE FUELS.

According to EU directive 2005/33/EC on marine fuel sulphur limit, once the vessel has arrived in a European Community port and has been securely moored or anchored, the vessel needs to changeover to maximum 0.1%

Reducing the level of one or more Sulphur compounds in the Marine Fuel Oils can reduce the ability of the oil to lubricate the injection system of the engine, causing the fuel injection pump of the engine to fail prematurely. Even marginally, lower lubricity can significantly increase wear of fuel pumps, valves and injector nozzles over an extended period of use.

MARICHEM MARIGASES has introduced its new fuel oil additive F.O.T. - LS for use with all low Sulfur Marine Fuels.

F.O.T. - LS is a fuel additive which improves the lubrication of all low Sulfur Marine Fuels. It is a combination of specific solvents, lubricity additives, ashless dispersants, detergents and corrosion inhibitors.

F.O.T. - LS reduces significantly the injector deposits and therefore has a positive effect on emissions (smoke, carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons and particulates).

Additionally, protects fuels systems against corrosion.

ADVANTAGES & CHARACTERISTICS

• Provides superior lubricating properties to the Marine Fuel Oils.

• Prevents wear on contacting metal Surfaces and their fail.

• Reduces significantly injector deposits.

• Protects fuels systems against corrosion and will not separate in the fuel tank.

• Contains ash less dispersants and detergents.

• Does not contain chlorinated solvents.

• Easy to apply and use in the fuel oil with excellent results.
